Questions founders ask
Is it really free?
Yes. BSL-1.1 lets you read, audit, modify and use everything freely. The only restriction: don't resell it as a competing SaaS. Each version converts to full open source after five years — the date is fixed in the license text.
Is this like what HashiCorp did?
No. better-toolkits was born BSL on day one — there's no license rug-pull, and the terms can only relax over time (a fixed date in the legal text).
Do I need all 10 toolkits?
No. Each is an independent plugin in the same marketplace. Install one, install all — your call.
How is this different from awesome-lists and plugin collections?
Those are fragments. This is an integrated system: the toolkits share conventions and hand work to each other — audit → implement → release → grow.
What is Multi-harness SSOT?
One protocol contract in markdown (references/ + thin entries) and one stderr baseline across Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode2, and Antigravity — not a Cursor-vs-Claude split. See /doctrine or docs/multi-harness-ssot.md.
Does it work with my stack?
Releases cover Flutter, KMP, .NET MAUI, Swift and PWA. Strategy and process toolkits are framework-agnostic. Built for Claude Code first — and four of the ten (make-no-mistakes, atomic-design, business-model, app-gtm-release) also install into OpenCode via their npm CLIs. Stderr baseline wires into Claude, Cursor, and OpenCode2.
